MERTHYR TYDFIL GREYHOUND STADIUM

The independent greyhound track in the Welsh town of Merthyr Tydfil was built around the perimeter of the local football team on Penydarren Road at 3° 22' W 51° 45' N. It was run as an independent flapping track throughout its history. The track opened in the early 1930s and regularly raced twice a week on Thursday and Saturday evening.

They closed their gates to racing for the final time in the early 1960s.
